Do all automatic litter boxes use an app?

Which litter can I use in an automatic litter box?
Compatibility depends on the exact model. The CKS compact white 9L option supports tofu, bentonite, sodium-based and mixed litter; crystal litter is unsuitable. Other designs have different requirements. Follow the selected model's instructions, including the fill limit and cleaning routine, rather than assuming one litter suits every automatic box.
